If you have followed me on instagram, you have seen that I am no stranger to the “At-home” workout. In fact, I have grown to love them. Ever since finding out I was pregnant, I made it my goal to get better about fitting fitness into my at home life because I knew that once baby arrived, the gym might not always be the easiest thing to get to. A year postpartum and I am very glad I stuck to my guns and made it a habit because if you have a little one yourself, you know how some days are just a bit harder when it comes to getting out of the house. Now while I do like to use equipment, such as dumbbells, bands, stability balls and more, there are times that sticking with plain old body weight exercises are best. This is especially the case when you have a cranky teething little girl on your hip, refusing to be put down.
So with this being the case today, I thought I’d put together a little post highlighting a fun “mommy & me” workout. That is, exercises you can do while holding onto your babe, ensuring that you get in a good sweat while your little one stays comforted. Heck you’ll probably get a good laugh or two if you child is anything like mine. Its a total win win.
*Please note, a lot of these exercises are meant for older/more sturdy babes who have established head control. My daughter is 12.5 months old and doesn’t mind a little bit of rough handling.
Try 10-15 Reps of each exercise for 3-4 Sets. I promise it will be fun and leave you feeling great!
